Medal Of Honor Recipient, Robert L. Poxon, Robert Leslie Poxon, Vietnam War Medal of Honor Recipient

Recently I went over to Forest Lawn Cemetery located on Van Dyke Ave in Detroit. Due to this particular day being nice outside with the wind blowing, the sun shining and what not. I decided to pay homage to a local Vietnam War Medal of Honor Recipient. His name is Robert Leslie Poxon. You can find out more about him by checking out his Find A Grave profile. For your enjoyment I’ve included a few photos I took of his grave site. Also if you’d like to use these photos for your website its much appreciated and encouraged that you ask me if its ok. I’ll be more than happy to let you use the photos just as long as I and/or this blog get the credit to where you obtained the photos
Robert Poxon is my big brother. Thank you for remembering him and visiting his grave.

I am the sister of Robert L. Poxon and for anyone that does not want to give this blog credit for these pics there a plenty on the web. Just Google my brother’s name
I understand there’s photos of your brother’s grave on the internet. The photos on this website are unique because I photographed them. I just watermark my photos because I don’t wish for them to be shared unless someone asked me if they could share them. If someone shares the photos I take all I ask is that my name is given as the photographer a lot of people steal photos on the internet. As a grave hunter I guarantee what you see on my website was photographed by me. I’m a contributor to Find A Grave as well. But I just choose to do my own thing so The Gravecast Blog is what you get.
I apologize I did not write the April 13, 2016 post. I would love to find out how someone was able to write a post using my name. I just saw it after getting an email that someone posted to this web site. Just to let you know Bob’s footstone was redone since you took the picture and I plan on redoing it again this summer. Also there has been plants added to the side of the headstone and new mulch put down since you took thee pics. It just looks like no one takes care of his and my parents gravesite when nothing could be further from the truth.
No need to apologize Karen. It was a misunderstanding on my part. It’s been a few years since I visited your brothers grave. I’ll probably visit him this Summer as there’s a grave I’m looking for at Forest Lawn. I just don’t get down to that cemetery much. I’m looking forward to seeing the planting of shrubs and flowers. I’m sure it’ll look peaceful and serene.
Your welcome. He’s a hero and should be remembered.
