On Tuesday October 1st The 2013 L.A. Gravecation officially kicked-off. Day 1, started after I arrived at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), from Detroit around 1pm. After going through the hassling process of procuring the pre-arranged car rental at the Budget Rent-A-Car location at LAX. I then b-lined it for Hollywood. After arriving in Hollywood, I stopped by my friend Scott’s storefront celebrity death museum. This is also the place where he operates the premiere Hollywood boutique tour company Dearly Departed Tours if your gonna be visiting Hollywood anytime soon. You should definitely checkout Dearly Departed Tours. I HIGHLY recommend them. After shooting the bull for a few with Brian one of Scott’s employee’s. I then cruised to Mission Hills, CA where the hotel I’m staying at is located.
On Wednesday October 2nd, Day 2 of The 2013 L.A. Gravecation. I originally planned to visit San Fernando Mission Cemetery, and Eden Memorial Park. Both of these cemeteries are located less than a mile from the hotel I’m staying at. Unfortunately I woke up later than I had originally planned. So instead of hitting the cemeteries, I cruised down to Hollywood, and kicked back at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee shop on Sunset Blvd. After relaxing at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, for a few hours. I then decided to get some chow for dinner. Driving around Hollywood, I settled on Mel’s Diner & Drive-In, which is a popular Hollywood eatery that locals, and tourists alike enjoy. I had the Sunset burger, and a combo of fries, & onion rings.
Here’s what I’ve got planned for tomorrow Day 3, of the 2013 L.A. Gravecation. Being that I missed out on visiting San Fernando Mission Cemetery, & Eden Memorial Park, due to waking up late. I plan to visit those two cemeteries tomorrow. If I have any time after visiting San Fernando Mission Cemetery, & Eden Memorial Park, I might visit Mt. Sinai Memorial Park. As for tomorrow night. I’ll be attending the Dearly Departed Death Hag Weekend pre-party, at the Orchid Suites Hotel in Hollywood, the poolside party will get started at approximately 7pm. So with that being said, this article is now concluded. Please stay glued to The Gravecast Blog this week, for further updates on the 2013 L.A. Gravecation, as it happens.
